Killa Baby claims Eminem isn’t even the best rapper in Detroit

When it comes to Detroit rappers, MC Skilla Baby says Eminem isn’t the best.

While debating the merits of Detroit’s rap scene, Skilla made the assertion during an appearance on Baby, This is Keke Palmer.”Statistically speaking, Eminem is the top rapper from Detroit, but the joke is that no one in Detroit would ever sаy that,” he quipped.

“Everybody had a turn being Detroit’s favorite rapper,” the “Bae” rapper continued. Among the best Detroit rappers, Veeze, Sada Baby, Tee Grizzley, Babyface Ray, and Baby Smoove all had turns. It was everyone’s time to be the greatest in town. We should be more consistent. The people of Detroit have never had a favorite rapper.Regarding Slim Shady again, he remarked, “Statistically, it’s Eminem, but nobody in Detroit is playing Eminem at the moment, and I was a fan of Eminem when I was a kid.” Is Eminem the best rapper in our opinion? I’m a fan. I seriously doubt that Detroit does.

“No shade to anybody names I left off Detroit is full of great rappers and I can’t forget Kash Doll, Big Sean and Dej [Loaf] of course.” Skilla Baby continued on Instagram with an update, expanding on his comments afterward.

Royce Da 5’9″ (Icewear Vezzo), Boldy James, 42 DuggBabyTron, Danny Brown, BabyTron, and 25-year-old himself were among the notable Detroit stars who were omitted from the list.

In the past, Vezzo asserted that Em had grown estranged from the modern Detroit rap culture.”Eminem seemed disconnected from reality, so he wasn’t someone we could connect with,” he stated to HipHopDX in 2020. No communication with Eminem ever occurred. When he initially came out, [Eminem] was like a hero to us in the hood, in our ghettos and all that.

Since Royce Da 5’9″ isn’t going to play the position that we’ve always wаnted him to, we no longer hold him in high esteem. The Marshall Mathers Foundation has a president that hails from the hood—Royce Da 5’9″.

He’s about to emerge; you can see him. He reached out, he checked on us, he fuckeԀ with n-ggas, and he would pull up to the studio or the club.
