The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper, 52, posted a touching tribute on Instagram on Saturday, June 22, to mark his youngest child’s 25th birthday.
The post featured a series of family photos showcasing the close bond between Snoop, his wife Shante Broadus, and their daughter Cori.
The tribute began with a photo of Shante and Cori embracing, both dressed in matching black and brown flannel jacket and pant sets. The mother-daughter duo had their arms wrapped around each other, radiating warmth and affection.
In the second photo, Snoop, donning a similar flannel outfit, joined in, hugging his wife and daughter tightly while smiling with his eyes closed. Shante and Cori also smiled brightly as they leaned into him. The final photo in the series showed the trio striking serious poses, staring intently at the camera.
“Happy c day to my baby girl @princessbroadus 💜,” Snoop captioned the post, also giving a special shout-out to his wife: “Thank u to @bosslady_ent for being my queen who gave me a princess.”
Snoop and Shante are also parents to sons Cordé, 29, and Cordell, 27, while Snoop has another son, Julian, 25, with ex Laurie Holmond.
Shante shared the same photos on her Instagram, writing to Cori, “Happy C Day My Beautiful Chocolate Baby Girl 😍😍. I Love You Always 💙💙 #TwentyFive.” Cori reshared these posts on her Instagram Stories and thanked her mom “for giving me life.” She also revealed that she celebrated her birthday eve with a yacht party with friends.
These birthday celebrations come after a challenging year for Cori. In January, she revealed she had been hospitalized after suffering a severe stroke. “I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me. Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this?” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
While Cori didn’t disclose the cause of her stroke, she has faced health challenges since being diagnosed with lupus at the age of 6. A month after the stroke, Cori shared that the incident had motivated her to take her health more seriously, resulting in a 40-pound weight loss. “After my stroke, I really wanted to get serious about my health so I joined @goodbyelupus 4-week rapid recovery program and I’m 40 lbs. down on my self-care journey and I’m really enjoying it 💚,” she wrote.
Cori also posted a side-by-side comparison of her headshots from 2023 and 2024 and photos of her weighing her food. “This s— has been so hard to where I be ready to give up every single day but I know in the end it’ll be worth it,” she wrote.
