Snoop Dogg Celebrates 27 Years of Marriage with Wife Shante Broadus

Snoop Dogg is marking a significant milestone!

The iconic rapper, now 52, took to Instagram on Saturday, June 15, to celebrate 27 years of marriage with his wife and manager, Shante Broadus.

“#TwentySeven 💙🔥💎 👏🏿,” Snoop captioned a series of photos, tagging Shante. She shared the same snapshots and a similar caption on her own Instagram.

In the casual photos, the couple wore matching pink-and-white sweatsuits. Snoop, the star of The Garfield Movie, had his arm around Shante, who complemented her outfit with a bright blue cross-body bag.

The love story between Snoop and Shante began when they were teenagers at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. They attended prom together in 1989 and married in June 1997 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Rey, California.

The couple has three children: sons Cordé (29) and Cordell (27), and daughter Cori (24). Snoop also has a son named Julian (25) with Laurie Helmond. Their family expanded when Cordé welcomed his children, sons Zion and Leo, and daughter Elleven. Sadly, Cordé’s son Kai Love passed away in 2019 at just 10 days old.

Snoop and Shante experienced a brief separation in 2004 but renewed their vows in 2008. Reflecting on their reconciliation, Snoop told PEOPLE in 2007, “I thought I was the man, and I was willing to give up what I had at home for that until I realized that what I had at home was irreplaceable.”

Discussing the longevity of their marriage, Snoop shared on Today in 2023, “I think because we were both young and we were both willing to sacrifice for each other.” He added, “She knew what my dreams and goals were, and at the same time, I knew what hers were. When you truly love somebody, there ain’t nothing you can do to break that up, and I feel like that was true love at first sight.”

In 2024, during an Instagram Live session on Wake & Bake with Double S Express, Snoop revealed that he turned down a $100 million deal with OnlyFans out of respect for Shante. “I’m like, I got a Black wife,” he explained. “Ain’t no way in the world she gonna allow me to go on there and pull that thang out for no amount of money.”

Snoop Dogg and Shante’s enduring love story continues to inspire many, showcasing their commitment and deep bond through the ups and downs of life
