Ice Cube Kicks Off Seventh Season of BIG3, His 3-on-3 Basketball League

Ice Cube, a passionate basketball fan, is set to launch the seventh season of his 3-on-3 basketball league, BIG3. We caught up with him to discuss what fans can expect on the court this season, as well as his upcoming concert in South Florida.

With the NBA Finals underway, basketball excitement is at its peak, and the new season of BIG3 tips off this weekend.

“Season 7, you know, we’re coming in hоt. Everybody knows what’s coming this year. You know, it’s gonna be amazing,” said Ice Cube.

BIG3 has only improved over the years, much like fine wine.

“Players are getting better. Coaches are getting better. People understand the game. It’s fun to play and fun to watch,” Ice Cube added.

This league features intense, physical three-on-three basketball that is as tҺrilling to watch as it is to play.

“That’s the beauty in the game,” Ice Cube explained.

BIG3 appeals to fans of all ages, offering a mix of on-court excitement and off-court fun that is both family-friendly and hard-nosed.

“We keep it calibrated to a point where it’s amazing on the court, fun off the court, family-friendly but also hard-nosed, like we like to see our sports,” he said.

BIG3 is reminiscent of the NBA, but with the competitive spirit of a schoolyard game.

“The guys that are playing, they want to compete at the highest level. They want the smoke, and they want it mano-y-mano, and that’s the difference,” Ice Cube emphasized.

Ice Cube isn’t neglecting his music career either. He’ll be performing at Hard Rock Live next weekend alongside the Red Hоt Chili Peppers.

“Oh, man, it’s going to be amazing. One of my favorite bands. We toured together in ’92 on the Lollapalooza tour,” he reminisced.

Cube is eagerly anticipating the concert.

“It’s just great that we get a chance to roll and do a couple of shows together and hang out and rock out,” he said.
