Snoop Dogg, the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren, recently shared touching photographs of two of his granddaughters, showcasing the joy and legacy they bring to his life.
On Monday (May 27), the Long Beach native posted two heartwarming images on Instagram. The first photo, captioned “Papa Snoop,” features Snoop sitting on a chair with a grinning child on his lap. The second image shows another granddaughter standing in front of a table full of snacks, accompanied by the caption: “My choo choo. Paw paws. 🐾 Granddaughter.”
While Snoop did not reveal the names of his granddaughters or specify which of his four children—Corde (29), Cordell (26), Cori (24), or Julian (25)—are their parents, the photos nonetheless capture the loving bond he shares with his family.
Last year, the 52-year-old rapper reflected on the joys of being a grandfather in an exclusive interview with People. “I am a grandfather of six, with one on the way.
And my grandkids are my everything because they all individually get a piece of my heart and they’re different,” Snoop shared. He recalled a moment with his oldest grandson, Zion, who declared himself the biggest star in the family and creatively personalized a Snoop Loopz cereal box.
Snoop also spoke about his granddaughter CC (Journey), who plays tennis and lights up whenever she sees him in advertisements. “She loves her papa. She sees me in the store in my little Corona ads and what not — [she says], ‘Papa!’ That means the world to me because I had a papa.”
Reflecting on his own grandfather, Snoop expressed pride in being a similar figure for his grandkids. “My grandpa was my best friend and for me to be that for my grandkids is showing that I actually did well and I was able to outlive the circumstances. Now I can look back — I can teach those who want to get to this level or at least give them a blueprint and help them avoid some of the traps that I had to deal with.”
Snoop concluded by expressing gratitude for the blessings in his life. “To have a relationship with my wife after all these years, kids still love me, and respected in the music industry. Do what I want when I want, and not be cocky but be confident. And to be loved and give love and attract it. Be an answer to the problem all the time and always try to be the one who can bring in some understanding.”
