50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour Becomes Fourth Hip-Hop Tour to Gross $100M

50 Cent’s Final Lap tour has been officially declared one of the most successful hip-hop tours in history, becoming only the fourth tour in the genre to gross $100 million in ticket sales.

Touring Data provided a detailed breakdown of the final tour of the G-Unit boss’s illustrious career. Published on Wednesday (May 15), the numbers reveаl that the tour grossed $104,975,322 in ticket sales, with 1,179,753 total tickets sold, and an average ticket price of about $88 per person. With sales figures from 92 of the 97 shows reported, the final numbers could increase further.

With this achievement, 50 Cent joins the ranks of Drake, whose tours “Aubrey & The Migos” and “It’s All A Blur” both grossed over $100 million, and Kendrick Lamar, whose “The Big Steppers” tour also crossed that milestone. This makes 50 Cent the third rapper in history to helm a tour that has achieved such a feat.

These numbers come as no surprise to industry insiders, who anticipated the Final Lap tour’s success as early as March. At that time, 50 Cent had already grossed $84 million in ticket sales from just 71 of the 103 scheduled shows.

Billed as 50 Cent’s farewell as a touring artist, the Final Lap Tour began in North America last July and later extended to Europe, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and other regions. The 103-date tour featured support from Busta Rhymes, Jeremih, Tony Yayo, and Uncle Murda, with surprise appearances from Eminem, J. Cole, and even Ed Sheeran.

Tony Yayo, reflecting on the tour, praised the earnings, saying, “The money is excellent.”

Busta Rhymes credited the tour for his weight loss, joking, “I lost 37 pounds on that fucƙιn’ tour. I wasn’t asking if y’all thought I was sеxy or not, I just wаnted you muthafuckas to understand I’m sеxy, period.”

Tony Yayo also highlighted 50 Cent’s dedication and discipline throughout the tour. “He don’t smoke no weeԀ, he really don’t drink like that,” Yayo said in an interview with Vlad TV. “He’s reading scripts, he’s securing movie deals, he got the Louisiana Tyler Perry big-аss type of studios out there. So when you see somebody working like that, it motivates you.”

50 Cent’s Final Lap tour marks a significant milestone in his career, solidifying his legacy as one of hip-hop’s most successful and enduring artists.
