Judge in Utah has set a $100,000 bond for rapper NBA YoungBoy, who faces Ԁσzе𝚗s of charges involving a fɾаuԀulе𝚗t ρɾеscɾιρtισ𝚗 σρеɾаtισ𝚗

NBA YoungBoy, also known as Kentrell Gaulden, faced a bond hearing in a Utah court where a judge set his bail at $100,000. The rapper is entangled in a case involving numerous charges linked to an alleged prescription fraud scheme.

Gaulden, 24, was apprehended on April 16 at his Huntsville residence while under house arrest for prior federal weapons charges. He confronts a total of 63 charges, ranging from felonies to misdemeanors, related to the fraudulent acquisition of prescriptions. These charges encompass identity fraud, obtaining prescriptions under false pretenses, forgery, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, engaging in unlаwful activities, and possession of controlled substances.

Additionally, three accomplices allegedly traveled to local pharmacies to collect prescriptions filled under deceitful orders from individuals posing as legitimate doctors.

During the hearing, Gaulden’s defense disclosed that the state had consented to a $100,000 bond in exchange for waiving a preliminary hearing. His arraignment is scheduled for July 1, during which he will enter a plea.

Following the hearing, Judge Spencer D. Walsh informed Gaulden that he would be transported from the Cache County Jail, where he is currently detained, assuming he remаins incarcerated.

On April 26, Gaulden faced further charges related to the prescription fraud case in Weber County, including possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and distribution of a controlled substance. He was detained without bail in this instance.

Authorities have indicated that Gaulden will eventually be transferred back to federal custody in the U.S. Middle District Court of Louisiana, where he is due to stand trial on July 15 for possession of a fireаrm charge in Baton Rouge. A postponement of the trial has been granted by U.S. District Judge Shelly Ԁick due to pending motions in the case.

The firearms charge stemmed from a 2020 music video shoot in Baton Rouge, during which police discovered pistols and аssаult rifles concealed in the vicinity.

Upon release from Utah state custody, Gaulden is expected to be detained by federal authorities, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Baton Rouge.
