50 Cent condemned on NY Governor recent controversial claim about Black children in the Bronx
50 Cent has weighed in on New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s recent controversial claim about Black children in the Bronx, expressing his disbelief and amusement on Instagram.
Governor Hochul’s statement, made during a conference in California focused on economic opportunities in artificial intelligence for low-income communities, suggested that some Black kids in the Bronx may not be familiar with computers. In response, 50 Cent commented on the post with surprise, stating that he personally knows Black kids in the Bronx who are proficient with iPads and technology, jokingly adding that they surpass his own skills.
Governor Hochul later retracted her remarks, acknowledging her mistake and emphasizing the importance of providing access to technology for all children, including those in underserved communities.
This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has engaged with New York politics. Earlier, he criticized New York City Mayor Eric Adams’s plan to provide pre-paid debit cards to migrants, expressing cоnfusiоn and suggesting that former President Dоnald Trump might have better solutions.
In the past, 50 Cent’s political comments have stirred controversy among his fanbase. In 2020, he faced backlash for endorsing Trump due to concerns about Joe BiԀen’s proposed tax plan, which included a significant tax rate increase for residents of New York and New Jersey.
