50 Cent responded harshly to his son after the latter offered $6,700 to spend a day with him
Marquise, 27, is the eldest son of the rapper, born to Shaniqua Tompkins. 50 Cent, whose real nаme is Curtis Jackson, also has another son named Sire, born in 2012.
The father-son relationship between 50 Cent and Marquise deteriorated over time, with Marquise recalling that it began to sour when he was around 10 or 11 years old. He expressed feelings of disappointment, noting that his father, whom he once viewed as a superhero, was not present enough in his life. As Marquise grew older, he became more aware of the absence and the impact it had on their relationship.
In 2022, Marquise attempted to reconnect with his father through social media. He posted on Instagram, offering to pay $6,700 for just 24 hours of his father’s time to do all the things he had wished to do with him as a child.
In response, 50 Cent posted a clip from the crime drаmа series “Power,” in which he portrayed the character Kanan Stark. The scene depicted Kanan dismissing his son, Shawn, as having failed him again, mirroring the strained father-son dynamic.
Marquise later revealed that his father had blocked him on social media, preventing direct communication between them. Despite his attempts to reach out and reconcile, Marquise expressed frustration at the lack of response from his father.
At present, it appears that the estrangement between 50 Cent and Marquise persists, with no resolution in sight.
