Eminem invites fans to share their stories for upcoming ‘Stans’ documentary
Eminem has extended an invitation to his vast fanbase to take part in a new documentary exploring the pinnacle of his career and the fervent obsessions surrounding it.
On Wednesday (April 10), the Detroit-born artist shared a link to a questionnaire on his social media platforms, encouraging his followers to participate in the Stans documentary.
The questionnaire includes inquiries such as “What are some achievements in your life that you attribute to Eminem/his music?” and “Do you recall Eminem’s hiatus from touring/releasing albums around 2005? If so, how did it impact you?”
Back in February, Variety reported that the 51-year-old rapper was co-producing a documentary titled Stans, inspired by his song “Stan,” which depicts a fanatical devotee who tragically takes his own life and that of his girlfriend after Eminem fails to respond to his letters.
Directed by Steven Leckart and slated for release later this year via Shady Films, the documentary promises to offer a candid exploration of superfandom, focusing on Eminem and the fans who idolize him.
Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager, described the film as an opportunity to delve into the dynamics of fan-artist relationships, particularly inspired by one of Eminem’s most intriguing songs and his enduring influence as an entertainer.
In other news, Eminem recently teased his fans with the promise of a new album on April Fool’s Day. However, it turned out to be a prank, as the announcement was actually about a re-release of his pre-fаme 1996 LP “Infinite.”
