Lil Durk has escalated the stakes in Ice Cube’s offer to Caitlin Clark for the BIG3 league by pledging to double the amount of money proposed by the N.W.A legend.

The Chicago-based rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to express his interest in enticing the Iowa Hawkeyes standout to join the three-on-three basketball league.

In response to a tweet regarding Cube’s initial $5 million offer to Clark, Durk tweeted: “I got 10 million come play with my 3.”

Earlier, Durk had shared his admiration for Clark’s outstanding performance in Iowa’s victory over LSU in the NCAA Wоmen’s Basketball Tournament, where she achieved a remarkable 41 points, 12 assists, and seven rebounds.

“Omg Clark,” Durk succinctly wrote in response.

Despite not currently owning a team in Ice Cube’s BIG3 league, Durk’s tweets suggest a keen interest in possibly assuming a coaching role.

Last month, Ice Cube made headlines by attempting to recruit Caitlin Clark to the BIG3 league. The news initially broke via TMZ, which reported that the “It Was A Good Day” rapper had extended a $5 million offer to the college star, potentially making her the first woman to participate in the three-on-three basketball league.

According to TMZ, the lucrative deal would entail Clark playing in eight regular-season games and up to two playoff games if her team advances to the postseason. Additionally, she would receive substantial compensation from merchandise and sponsorships while still retaining the option to play in the WNBA.

Clark, who has already declared her eligibility for the 2024 WNBA Draft and is anticipated to be selected as the number one pick by the Indiana Fever, expressed surprise upon learning about the BIG3 offer during media interactions leading up to her team’s Sweet 16 matchup against Colorado.

“My main focus is on this team and helping us find a way to beаt Colorado and hopefully win another one after that,” Clark stated, emphasizing her dedication to her current team’s success.

Clark indeed helped lead her team to victory over Colorado and is now set to face the UConn Huskies on April 5.
