Morgan Wallen Expresses Interest in Collaborating with Kendrick Lamar and Moneybagg Yo Following Successful Lil Durk Collaboration

Country music sensation Morgan Wallen has expressed his desire to collaborate with acclaimed hip-hop artists Kendrick Lamar and Moneybagg Yo, following the success of his recent collaboration with Lil Durk on the track “Broadway Girls.”

 

Despite facing controversy earlier this year due to a video showing him using a racial slur, Wallen has continued to focus on his music career. In a recent conversation with comedian Druski on Clubhouse, Wallen shared insights into his musical preferences and aspirations for future collaborations.

While discussing his recent collaboration with Lil Durk, Wallen revealed his admiration for Moneybagg Yo, particularly noting him as a top contender for a potential collaboration. Additionally, Wallen expressed his interest in working with Kendrick Lamar, emphasizing his admiration for the acclaimed rapper’s artistry.

Wallen, who predominantly listens to hip-hop music, shared his appreciation for artists such as Young Dolph, Drake, Kanye West, and Gunna. Despite his roots in country music, Wallen’s musical tastes extend to various genres, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

Reflecting on the success of “Broadway Girls,” Wallen recounted how the collaboration with Lil Durk came about organically, with Durk expressing interest after hearing a preview of the track on Instagram. The song has achieved significant success, topping Billboard’s Hоt R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and securing a spot on the Hоt 100.

Addressing his commitment to supporting Black-led organizations in light of the controversy earlier this year, Wallen reiterated his pledge to donate $500,000. While acknowledging delays in the donation process, Wallen emphasized his genuine intention to make a meaningful impact and build lasting relationships with the organizations he supports.
