In a recent interview, YoungBoy Never Broke Again took responsibility for the misconception that he is uncivilized
The Louisiana rapper appeared on an episode of the popular Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast hosted by Gillie and Wallo. During the conversation, YoungBoy discussed living in isolation in Salt Lake City, Utah, while continuing to release music at a rapid pace.
Addressing the misconception about him, YoungBoy admitted that he feels he hasn’t been given a fair chance and acknowledged his own role in shaping the public’s perception of him.
“I never get a fair shot. They never marketed me like to this to this day,” YoungBoy explained. “To them I seem uncivilized from what they see that s**t online.”
Despite this, YoungBoy also took ownership of his image, stating, “But then again, I got to put the blame on me you know? As far as like for the way I’m seen today.”
Gillie responded with words of encouragement, reassuring YoungBoy that he shouldn’t feel bad for being true to himself.
In the interview, YoungBoy also opened up about feeling depressed while on house arrest, but expressed gratitude for staying busy and overcoming some of his struggles.
“I be feeling down sometime cuz like some p*y-st that be going on,” YoungBoy said. “Other than that, like I’m too blessed to be stressed, I’m too pressure to be pressed. I don’t really care what people think.”
Recently, YoungBoy’s house arrest conditions were modified after he filed a petition citing deteriorating mentаl and physical health. A judge granted him permission to leave his Utah home for doctor’s appointments, acknowledging his mentаl health struggles during his confinement.
In sharing his experiences and reflections, YoungBoy offers insight into his personal struggles and growth, highlighting the complexities of fаme and public perception.
