Rapper Lil Durk Proposes to Longtime Girlfriend Onstage in Chicago: ‘I Love You to Pass Away’

Lil Durk made his concert in Chicago extra special by adding a surprise proposal to his setlist on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old rapper, known as Lil Durk (born Durk Banks), proposed to his longtime girlfriend India Royale during his performance at the United Center, where he was headlining the 107.5 WGCI Big Jam.

Durk began by serenading his bride-to-be with his 2018 song “India Pt. II” as she joined him onstage. Then, as she turned away, Durk took a knee and presented a ring box to her.

Expressing his love and gratitude, Durk said, “You know I love you to deаth, you’ve been holding me down through everything. You’ve been the realest to me and I love you to deаth… Do you wanna be my wife?”

India happily accepted the proposal, saying “Yes” into the microphone, and the couple shared a sweet embrace amidst the cheers and applause of the audience.

India later took to Instagram to share the news, writing, “I said ‘Yes.’ #issafiancé.”

The couple, who share a daughter named Willow, have been together since at least 2017. Durk also posted photos of the special moment, including one where he proudly showed off India’s new engagement ring.

The stunning ring, created by jeweler Izzy Luxury, features a 10-carat oval-shaped center stone surrounded by 30 pointer emerald cuts in a handmade setting with pave stones around it.
