‘These mfs cɾаzy’: Ice Cube’s son gives the thumbs up to Kevin Durant’s newest KD 17 sneakers

Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., took to X to express his admiration for Kevin Durant’s latest signature shoe, the Nike KD 17s, with the phrase, “These Mfs crаzy.” The post showcases the ‘Sunrise’ colorway of the KD 17s, featuring design elements reminiscent of the Air Max Plus, a classic Nike design from 1998.

 

The sneakers boast a gradient color scheme from white to orange on the synthetic base, with a matching gradient on the cage. Details such as the Nike Swoosh in black, white, and orange accents, along with a white and blue midsole and icy translucent outsole, complete the look. Nike describes the shoes as equipped with forefoot Zoom cushioning, a TPU shank, Cushlon midsole, and generative rubber outsole, adorned with Durant’s branding throughout.

Despite the excitement from some fans over the performance potential of the shoes, others have criticized aspects like the color scheme. Nonetheless, with Kevin Durant’s lifetime deal with Nike and the anticipation for the release of the KD 17 ‘Sunrise’ on April 12, the sneakers are expected to make a significant impact in the basketball shoe market.
