Lil Wayne had previously voiced dissatisfaction with the service quality at the Crypto.com Arena during the Lakers vs. Wizards game on March 1st. The Grammy-winning rapper stated that the security personnel at the arena had shown disrespect towards him. According to Wayne, this stems from his criticism of Anthony Davis back in November.

“Wow!” Lil Wayne tweeted. “I just got treated horribly at the Lakers game, but I guess sooner or later they’ll do that to me for what I said. I get it though, I’m used to it.”

Lil Wayne argued that Davis was too injury-prone, unable to provide consistent performances throughout the season, and the Lakers didn’t necessarily need another superstar alongside LeBron James.

Since Wayne couldn’t prove whether his remarks about Davis were related to the Lakers vs. Wizards incident or not, the rapper’s words weren’t widely supported. Additionally, Wayne has recently acknowledged that Davis has been playing better since November, even in Lakers’ losses.
