The Philadelphia 76ers are not a team that Simmons wants to play for anymore, as evidenced by his most recent real estate transaction. The well-known point guard recently put up his unusual house for $5 million.
The 76ers had ordered him home from practice and suspended him for one game due to his actions that hurt the team the day before he was listed.
The three-time NBA all-star is ambitious at $5 million. He purchased the property in 2019 for $2.275 million, only months after receiving a $170 million contract extension with the 76ers. He most likely solely resides in the 12,000 square foot Hidden Hills home he purchased for $17.5 million in the summer.
It is 10,500 square feet less than his selling space. The 76ers’ 1.8 acres in Moorestown, New Jersey, are 25 miles away from the Wells Fargo Centre, where they play.
There is a basketball hoop at the driveway of the three-story estate on a cul-de-sac, but it doesn’t have the same exterior features as his Hidden Hills residence. Inside are zebra-print quartz worktops, an all-black dining area, and a custom theater sofa.
There are also five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a wine wall, a breakfast booth, multiple bars, an elevator, an aquarium, a billiards room, a confectionary room, and an LED-lit game area. Simmons’ uniforms and magazine covers are displayed on the walls in the listing. An alcove is illuminated with a neon green “Simmo the Savage!” sign.
