This tie for Song of the Year was announced on Monday, February 19, with both tracks receiving equal votes from the esteemed XXL Awards Board. The category boasted a lineup of the past year’s most prominent rap hits, including Doja Cat’s “Paint the Town Red,” Drake’s “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole, and Sexyy Red’s “SkeeYee.” Also in contention were Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World” and Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again” featuring Cardi B.

Beyond this recognition, “All My Life” by Lil Durk and J. Cole has garnered significant acclaim, securing the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hоt 100 chart and clinching the title of Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
