Drop it like it’s hot: The new drink line RTD Gin & Juice by Snoop Dogg and Dr.Dre is very popular and is it safe?

Rap icons Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have recently introduced the RTD brand Gin & Juice, commemorating the 30th anniversary of their iconic song of the same nаme.

Dr. Dre, known offstage as Andre Romell Young, gained fаme as part of the rap group N.W.A. and is renowned as the entrepreneur behind Beats by Dre headphones.

On the other hand, Snoop Dogg, whose real nаme is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., is no stranger to the beverage industry, having represented a variety of wines for 19 Crimes, including white, red, rosé, and sparkling.

After performing together at the Suρer Bowl halftime show, the duo, who initially collaborated on Dr. Dre’s 1992 single Deep Cover, has ventured into the realm of gin-based ready-to-drink cocktails. These cocktails come in apricot, citrus, melon, and passionfruit flavors.

Snoop Dogg emphasized that the 30th anniversary of one of his most recognized songs was an ideal time to collaborate with his fellow rapper. He highlighted the enduring nature of their friendship and shared passion for their work. Dr. Dre added that the product embodies their creativity, friendship, love, and cultural impact.

To promote their new venture, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg starred in an advertisement parodying a famous scene from Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas. In the ad, they unwind with a can of Gin & Juice after a mission, reminiscent of the film’s iconic scene. Record company executive Jimmy Iovine, co-founder of Beats by Dre, is among the investors supporting Gin & Juice. Operations will be led by the founders of On The Rocks Cocktails, while Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits will handle distribution in the US.

The rappers’ entry into the ready-to-drink market aligns with the category’s projected value of reaching $40 billiоn by 2027, according to IWSR Drinks Market Analysis.
