Lil Wayne Drags Tyga Into His Ongoing Legal Beef With Birdman

Tyga has become the next rapper to be caught in the crossfire of Lil Wayne’s lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records, and pretty soon every rapper alive will be involved. The Blast was able to get court filings that show Lil Wayne is requesting that Cash Money and Birdman provide all records about Tyga’s 2016 contract buyout.

“Cash Money has never accounted to [Lil Wayne and Young Money] for its receipt of that money,” asserts Wayne, regarding the money Tyga turned over to Cash Money instead of Wayne and Young Money. Although Tyga stated on “The Breakfast Club” earlier this year that he was owed $12 million when he left Cash Money, he is now in a situation where he simply wants Wayne to receive the money he is due.
Wayne is requesting that the court disclose up all of the communication about Drake’s 2016 record deal. The two parties have also been at odds over the proceeds from Drake’s music. Weezy’s initial legal defense came from the previously unheard album “The Carter V.” Birdman asserts that Wayne broke his half of the bargain by failing to turn in his albums, while Wayne maintains that he is owed $51 million in damages. Apart from Tyga and Drake, Nicki Minaj has also been entangled in this lawsuit.
