Kanye West is reportedly exploring the possibility of acquiring Lil Durk’s contract with Alamo Records, seeking to deepen their artistic collaboration. This development follows their recent joint track, “Vultures.”
TMZ reports that Kanye is actively engaged in discussions with Alamo Records, motivated by his desire to enhance his creative partnership with Lil Durk. Sources suggest that Todd Moscowitz, the CEO of Alamo Records, has prevented Durk from participating in a second song slated for inclusion on Kanye West’s upcoming album.
The live performance of “Vultures” took place at the Blu Dubai nightclub last weekend, featuring Kanye, Durk, Ty Dolla $ign, and Bump J. The track debuted on Power 92 in mid-November and represents Kanye West’s first release since his collaboration with Cardi B and Lil Durk on “Hоt SҺit” in July 2022.
Despite ongoing collaborations, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have faced delays in the release of their joint album. Initially scheduled for mid-October, the album’s launch was postponed as the duo searched for distributors. Additionally, their planned multi-stadium listening event on November 3 was canceled, with no rescheduled date announced as of yet. The recent developments indicate a complex dynamic as Kanye seeks to navigate Lil Durk’s contractual obligations with Alamo Records to facilitate their continued artistic endeavors.
