According to The Shade Room, YG and Saweetie have reportedly called it quits. A source informed the outlet that the breakup is mutual, citing that both artists are currently focused on their respective careers.
Dating rumors between YG and Saweetie began circulating last year when they were spotted together at Coachella. Although they never publicly confirmed their relationship, paparazzi captured them on romantic getaways.
Before the reported breakup, the couple was slated to embark on the Str8 to the Klub Tour alongside Tyga as co-headliners. The tour, originally scheduled to kιck off on September 21, 2023, in Sacramento, featured opening acts such as Kamaiyah, Wallie The Sensei, and DJ Vision. However, a little over a week before the tour’s start date, fans were notified of its cancellation on September 10, 2023. Although no explanation was provided for the tour’s cancellation, Tyga and YG released a joint EP titled Һit Me When U Leave the Klub: The Playlist on September 29, 2023.
Saweetie’s Previous Relationship and YG’s Past Romance
Before dating YG, Saweetie was romantically linked with Migos rapper Quavo. The pair ended their relationship amid allegations of Quavo’s infidelity.
“I’m single,” Saweetie declared on X (formerly known as Twitter) at the time. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars, and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other wоmen.”
She added, “I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”
As for YG, his previous relationship was with Kehlani in 2019, ending in 2020. The R&B singer addressed the breakup in “Valentine’s Day (Shameful),” released a day after Valentine’s Day in 2020. A reported drunken kiss between YG and a fan was believed to be the cause of his and Kehlani’s breakup.
