With great passion, Snoop Dogg opened his own video game studio

Renowned rapper Snoop Dogg is venturing into a new realm beyond the hip-hop music scene, and he’s doing it alongside his son.

Born on October 20, 1971, with the real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., Snoop Dogg made a groundbreaking entry into the music world in the early ’90s with albums like Doggystyle under the Death Row Records label, collaborating with icons such as Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Lady of Rage, and more.

In recent years, Snoop Dogg’s music career has taken a back seat, and during his downtime, he has found joy in streaming video games on his Twitch channel, showcasing his love for both Call of Duty and Fortnite. Snoop has even made appearances as a playable Operator in Call of Duty, sharing the virtual stage with artists like Nicki Minaj.

As reported by AfroTech, the rapper is now expanding his gaming passion by co-founding a video game studio with his son, Cordell Broadus, under the intriguing name Death Row Games. Looking ahead, the dynamic father and son duo aspire to branch out into video game publishing and development.

Death Row Games is set to produce content using the Unreal Editor, well-known for its application in Fortnite, with a primary focus on content creators from minority backgrounds. Cordell Broadus shared with AfroTech, “We’ve been creating games, and none of them has been published anything on a huge scale, but on a very amateur level. We’ve been around games for the last five to six years. And Snoop, he’s done mobile games, a few of them in the past five to six years in apps and stuff like that. So we’ve always had the mindset of building it on our own.”
