Snoop Dogg is much more than the old-school Californian rapper who captivated millions of youth in the ’90s and 2000s.
The weed king, an undisputed pillar of hip-hop culture, and a rap “legend,” who adopted the moniker Snoop Lion after a foray into reggae, has diversified into numerous transmedia projects.
From advertisements for Just Eat to appearances in numerous films, performances at the Super Bowl, and the launch of his video game studio, Death Row Games, Snoop Dogg is ubiquitous.
As a symbol of pop culture, the rapper has become the subject of internet memes and transformations. Using Midjourney, an artificial intelligence software for creating images based on textual descriptions, a user envisioned the Californian legend as a Star Wars character, specifically as a Jedi.
The results are surprisingly credible in certain illustrations. The Jedi cape and the ideology of defenders of the Galactic Republic suit him perfectly.
However, the software doesn’t forget the motifs associated with Snoop Dogg: joint in hand, smoke, and cannabis leaves.
The outcomes are sure to bring smiles to internet users, prompting them to imagine how Snoop Dogg would have fared alongside Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi. Could this inspire Disney for a future role? That remains doubtful.
