50 Cent Still Hoping To Land First Lil Wayne Collaboration
50 Cent has revealed that Lil Wayne is at the top of his wish list of collaborators — when it comes to those he’s yet to work with, anyway. When asked which Hip Hop artist he would like to collaborate with on a record he hasn’t yet, the G-Unit boss opened up about his hopes of working with Weezy in a recent interview with Capital XTRA.
“I didn’t work directly with Wayne,” he said to Shayna Marie and Robert Bruce, the hosts. “He’s among those who find Wayne to be well-trained.” Despite having never released music together, Fif noted that he Һit the road with the New Orleans rap legend early in his career on the star-studded Cash Money and Ruff Ryders tour in 2000.
The 40-city arena trek was headlined by DMX, Juvenile, and Eve, and also featured Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, The LOX, Big Tymers, B.G., Drag-On, and Turk. But that was just a youthful 50 Cent as the opening act. “I was on the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders tour — before they opened the curtain, as most people are unaware,” he remarked. “Before the show started, people were still walking in and sҺit and I was doing my sҺit. They believed me to be lightweight, but I eventually changed my mind.
