Lil Wayne and Birdman Used to Bet $10,000 on Games of ‘Madden’
Here’s a story that demonstrates that Lil Wayne and Birdman once took the Cash Money thing literally, just in case they hadn’t already made it very clear.
Before Weezy started disparaging Young Money and suing his old mentor for $51 million, the two used to place absurdly high football wagers. They would bet on Madden games instead of actual football, though. To add to the absurdity, they would select teams and watch as the computer took charge, rather than simply picking up a controller to demonstrate their prowess.
All of this is based on T-Pain’s account, who claimed to have seen it firsthand while in the studio with them.
T-Pain claimed on a live Twitch stream, “When I used to be in the studio with Lil Wayne and Birdman, they would bet $10,000 a game on Madden, and they would just let the computer play.” “They would wager that the team they selected would triumph over the squad the other person selected. They didn’t play the game. The computer was allowed to play both teams. They would merely wager $10,000 on that particular game. And I felt like I had never seen such ballin’ shit in my life. T-Pain claims, “I’m not an idiot,” so he wasn’t only motivated to get involved. Birdman made the proper choice, based on how things have worked out between him and Lil Wayne.
