American rapper and singer, Lil Durk, also known as Durk Derrick Banks, has announced his intentions to organize a “free” concert in Nigeria. Originally scheduled to perform at an event in Lagos in December, Lil Durk was unable to make it and took to his X handle to address the situation.
In a post on Saturday morning, the ‘All My Life’ artist clarified that his absence was beyond his control. Expressing his affection for Nigeria, Lil Durk promised to make amends by hosting a free concert in the country soon. He conveyed, “I have to make the show up for free for Nigeria even if it wasn’t my fault [for missing the December event]. Y’all are my family, and I got you forever.”
Lil Durk enjoys a dedicated following among Nigerian youths, particularly among the Gen Z demographic. His recent track, ‘All My Life,’ featuring J.Cole, quickly climbed to the number one spot on Apple Music Nigeria within 24 hours of its release.
