Snoop Dogg couldn’t contain his pride when attending his niece Cruise’s fashion show

Iconic hip-hop figure Snoop Dogg recently marked a new experience by attending his inaugural fashion show. The rapper, actor, and entrepreneur shared a snapshot on Instagram featuring himself, his wife Shante Broadus, and granddaughter Cordoba, striking poses at the Chanel Cruise show held in Los Angeles on May 9.

In his Instagram caption, the 50-year-old Snoop expressed gratitude to Chanel and Nile Rodgers, noting that it was his first-ever fashion show. The trio opted for a stylish black and white ensemble, with Snoop sporting a headscarf covering his locs, and Shante showcasing trendy braids. Seated alongside music legend Nile Rodgers, the family brought their fashion A-game to the event.

Snoop didn’t merely attend for the spectacle; he graced the high-fashion stage with performances of his classics like “Gin and Juice,” “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” and “Beautiful.”

The rapper also brought out Anderson .Paak, who delivered a performance of “Smokin Out the Window.” Snoop’s children, including Cordoba’s father, Cordell, and daughter Cori, were present to witness the star’s captivating stage presence.

A constellation of other stars also graced the Chanel show, including Lil Nas X, Lori Harvey, Issa Rae, H.E.R., and the always fashionable Tracee Ellis Ross. This marked Chanel’s first cruise collection event in the Los Angeles area since 2007, with the previous two events held in Provence, France, and Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Snoop Dogg has been embracing several firsts recently, including his inaugural family vacation last year after a career that began in 1992. The rapper, alongside Shante and their kids, Cordell and Cori, and their partners, ventured to the enchanting Bora Bora, Tahiti.

Expressing the motivation behind the getaway, Snoop shared with ESSENCE that he simply needed to take a break after years of hard work. He emphasized the importance of spending quality time with his wife, who has been supportive throughout his career. This initial vacation spurred more in 2022, with Snoop reflecting on the shift from minimal vacations over three decades to four within three months.

Despite his longstanding success, Snoop Dogg’s diverse interests, ranging from promoting his cereal brand to comedy specials on Netflix and becoming the CEO of Death Row Records, have kept him engaged and continually exploring new avenues.
