Nicki Minaj pulls out of the Jingle Ball tour in Chicago but will be replaced by Lil Wayne to focus on releasing her upcoming album

Her act was canceled so she could concentrate on releasing her next album.

Lil Wayne will take Nicki Minaj’s place at today’s (December 4) iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour stop in Chicago.

Yesterday, December 3, the rapper made her withdrawal known on X. She wrote, “I hope it doesn’t make you sad.” “I will not be able to perform at Jingle Ball in Chicago [tomorrow].” I was ecstatic to see all of you. I really apologize, please. During my tour stops in Chicago early the following year, I’ll make it up to you. Details will follow.

“My beloved brother/boss stepped up for me so that I wouldn’t have to push my album back,” she said, adding that her longtime mentor Lil Wayne would perform in her place instead. Lil Wayne, aka the GOAT, is his nаme. He’s playing at the Chicago concert tomorrow.

Before concluding that her next album is “still dropping this Friday,” she also stated that she would now be playing on the tour’s December 16 date in Miami in addition to her next planned engagement on December 14 in Atlanta.

In order to celebrate her 41st birthday in October, Minaj decided to move the release date of the much anticipated “Pink Friday 2” from November 17 to December 8.
