Team USA gymnast Fred Richard Collaborates with Snoop Dogg Ahead of Paris Olympics

As the Paris Olympics draw near, Team USA Gymnastics is gearing up for the anticipated event, with the return of Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas adding to the excitement. In the midst of Olympic preparations, other team members are stepping into the spotlight to represent U.S. participation, and Frederick “Flip” Richard recently connected with Snoop Dogg for a memorable collaboration.

The duo was captured freestyling together in a humorous segment, showcasing the 19-year-old gymnast’s skills as he faced the “pressure” of performing his best rap freestyle in front of the iconic rapper. Snoop Dogg encouraged Richard, advising him to “breathe” during the lighthearted session.

Richard shared the experience on Instagram, prompting positive reactions from fans. Comments like “Way too cool! How many people get to sаy they freestyled with Snoop” and “Aaaand NOW you can handle ANYTHING!!!!! Olympic finals will be a breeeeezzzze!!!” highlighted the unique nature of the collaboration.

Snoop Dogg’s presence was not only about music but also served to promote his recently launched breakfast line, Snoop Cereal, created in collaboration with Master P. Another American athlete, Deion Sanders, has been chosen by the brand to be featured on the cereal box.

Photographs of Snoop Dogg and Richard were taken during the event, and the gymnast expressed that he gained valuable insights into building a personal brand from the multi-talented artist.

The promotional event also featured Snoop Dogg taking volleyball lessons from Team USA athletes Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes.

Fred Richard, who made history as the first American man to win a medal in the all-around during the World Championship last October, is poised for a promising performance at the Olympics. The 19-year-old gymnast, currently a sophomore at the University of Michigan, competes as a student-athlete and studies at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

Expressing confidence in his team’s potential at the Paris Olympics, Richard stated, “I know we have so much potential to go. I think it’s only up from here.” The collaboration with Snoop Dogg adds a unique and memorable chapter to his Olympic journey.
