Snoop Dogg announced that he and Dr Dre will release an exciting new album on the occasion of their 30th anniversary of working together, making fans excited
In a recent revelation on Stephen A. Smith’s Know Mercy podcast, Snoop Dogg, the iconic “Sensuаl Seduction” rapper, disclosed a sеcrеt project he and Dr. Dre have been passionately crafting for the past two months. Scheduled for completion in November, the album, aptly titled “Missionary,” marks the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking collaboration on Snoop’s debut studio album, Doggystyle.
Snoop, 50, excitedly shared with Smith that the album is entirely produced by the legendary Dr. Dre, who played a pivotal role in propelling Snoop to stardom. The title, “Missionary,” seems to playfully nod to their history, with hints suggesting a thematic exploration inspired by the positions in the sexuаl lexicon.
The deep-rooted collaboration between Dre, 57, and Snoop dates back to the early ’90s, beginning with the title track for the 1992 film Deep Cover. Their creative synergy continued with Snoop’s prominent presence on Dre’s 1992 album The Chronic, and the subsequent production of Doggystyle. Over the years, they continued to weave their musical destinies together, culminating in memorable contributions to each other’s projects, from Dre’s 1999 album 2001 to Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP.
The announcement of this new album comes on the heels of their electrifying performance at the 2022 Suρer Bowl halftime show alongside music luminaries like Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak.
As the anticipation builds, the music industry eagerly awaits the magic that Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are sure to deliver with “Missionary,” a project that promises to be a fitting tribute to three decades of their unparalleled musical journey.
