Offset Announces Upcoming Album in 2024 and Teases Collaborative Project with Son
Rapper Offset has disclosed that he will be releasing his next studio album in February 2024, just a few months after the successful launch of his acclaimed sophomore effort, Set It Off, in the previous month.
During an exclusive interview with TMZ on Saturday, November 6, the Atlanta-based artist shared the exciting news about his forthcoming musical project. Offset also hinted at a collaboration with his eldest son, Jordan, keeping most of the details under wraps but indicating that the joint effort will be available on Friday, November 10.
Set It Off, released on October 13 through Motown, marked Offset’s first full-length project following his departure from Quality Control Music. The album debuted impressively at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, selling 70,000 album-equivalent units in its inaugural week, as reported by Luminate. Notable tracks from the album include “Jealousy” featuring Cardi B and the Don Toliver-assisted “Worth It.” The project featured contributions from artists such as Travis Scott, Future, Latto, Chlöe, Mango Foo, and Young Nudy, with Offset also lending his hand to the production.
Earlier this year, the 31-year-old rapper expressed his perspective on the decline in metrics for rap releases, attributing it to uninspiring content and a lack of diversity in sound. Offset highlighted the need for innovation and fresh creativity in the industry, emphasizing that the repetition of similar themes and visuals is becoming monotonous.
In 2019, Offset debuted his first studio album, Father of 4, which entered the Billboard 200 at No. 4 and produced hits like “Red Room” and “Clout,” featuring his wife, Cardi B. The album earned Gold certification the following year for surpassing 500,000 album-equivalent sales.
