After saying goodbye to his ex-wife, Lil Wayne devoted all his love to his four children and bought them the most luxurious things!
Reginae Carter, the daughter of the legendary rapper Lil Wayne, has passionately come to her father’s defense in light of online comparisons between him and younger artists.
A tweet by MyMixtapes posed the question, “Who goes harder: Prime Lil Wayne or Current Lil Baby?” By the time Saturday rolled around, the tweet had garnered over 700,000 views and was shared nearly 1,000 times across various social media platforms without proper attribution.
On Friday, Reginae Carter weighed in on the debate, choosing to champion her father’s place in the hip-hop pantheon without uttering a negаtive word about Lil Baby or even mentioning him by nаme. She lightheartedly exclaimed, “Keep my father’s nаme out your mouth” followed by laughing emojis, and continued, “For real, folks, let’s stop comparing my dad to the new kids on the block. Everyone is immensely talented and impressive in their own right. Let them have their moment, and time will ultimately decide their place. But let’s respect the marathon Wayne ran.”
Lil Wayne’s musical journey spans a remarkable 14 albums released between 1999 and 2020, with six earning multi-platinum certifications from the Record Industry Association of America (RIAA) and another three going platinum. In the same timeframe, Wayne also delivered five EPs and 29 mixtapes while collaborating with a myriad of music giants, from Clipse to Drake, JAY-Z, Kanye West, DJ Khaled, Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Destiny’s Child, Chris Brown, Shakira, and more, not to mention his work with fellow Cash Money and Young Money artists.
In total, Lil Wayne boasts a singles discography of nearly 3,000 individual titles. His prolific output and undeniable talent have consistently landed him on various lists of hip-hop superlatives over the years. Throughout his career, he’s amassed a grand total of 143 awards, including four Grammy Awards, four Billboard Awards, and eight BMI Awards, with back-to-back wins as the Urban Songwriter of the Year in 2009 and 2010.
While it may be perceived as premature to assess Lil Baby’s success in comparison to Lil Wayne, given that he’s just begun his career less than five years after releasing his debut mixtape, “Perfect Timing,” he is undoubtedly on his way to building a remarkable career and discography. 2022 was particularly noteworthy for both artists, with Chart Data revealing that they each notched 40 Hоt 100 singles, including their joint effort in DJ Khaled’s “STAYING ALIVE,” which reached No. 5 on the charts in August and earned a place on Billboard’s Hоt R&B/Hip-Hop Songs year-end chart.
